RICE AND CORN MILLING
To complement the Market Department’s Trading business, the cooperative purchased a Rice and Corn Mill to offer the farmer members a high quality milling process for their produce. The Rice Mill is equipped with a mechanical dryer funded by the Department of Agriculture, to save rice harvest during the rainy season.
Through processing and marketing their own produce, our local farmers are empowered as this gives them an opportunity to avoid transactions with manipulative traders. The cooperative gives members a discounted fee and charges PHP1.50 per kilo only.
